Um, no -
I have an HP ScanJet 3500c, and have been trying to get it to work on my Windows 7 machine.
Found the Drivers page - but NO - as of Feb 2012, HP never seems to have written a Win 7 driver for this scanner. And it looks like they don't intend to.
Here I have what was a perfectly fine, running scanner - and for upgrading my OS, I now have a flatbed paperweight. Thanks a lot HP.
Now off to the Epson and Cannon websites to purchase my next scanner....
Nor will my next computer or printer be made by HP either. So there.

I am trying toinstall a 3500c on a Windows 7 machine. It ran fine under Windows XP on my old machine. The installation gives me the following message:
Error 1904, Module C../Window\/SysWOW64\hpgwiamd.dll failed to register. HRESULT - 2147024770
HP's Help site gives some help for Error 1904, but it seems to apply to earlier versions of Windows. In particular, it tells one to edit a key SvcHost in the registry, but I cannot find that key.
Any help would be greaqtly appreciated, either with the registry, if that is the way to go, or anything else useful.

Just install the Vista x64 drivers. It works perfectly for both of my laptop and desktop computers who both have Windows 7

Just using the scanner that shows up is fine for pictures, but there seems to be no way to save it as text. Since I use the scanner mostly for OCR, this doesn't help too much.
The Vue scan seems to work ok, but if you don't buy it for $40 it gives you an indelible watermark in the text telling you to buy the software.
Does anyone have other suggestions?
Since this is an hp forum, why is it that hp does not have a driver for windows 7, since this is now a popular operating system? Or do they just want us to spend more money on a new scanner? If I have to do that you can bet it won't be from hp
