Scanner won't scan!!!

Hello!

I have a HP Photosmart C4205 and it seems to have died when I cahnged the ink cartridge!! I can print fine from my laptop to the printer (via USB) and I can scan and print directly from the machine but what I can't do is scan on the machine and send the file to my laptop... Everytime I try it says 'USB Not Connected'....

 

Please help!

Can you scan using MS-Paint? Does it give you the same error message?

Thanks for replying - i've not been able to get on the net recently! I have tried it in paint and it still doesnt work - the same error message comes up!

angel2k01,

 

There is something wrong with the driver configuration.  I would suggest doing another plug-n-play installation, or reinstalling the software.
