HP Office Jet 7213 All-in-One

Hi. I am using a Office Jet 7213 All-in-One on a Dell desktop with Windows 10. The printer is working but when i try to scan I get a error message saying "Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000015). The device is not ready". Please advise as to how I can overcome this error

I understand when you scan from your printer you are getting error Operation could not be completed (error 0x00000015). The device is not ready.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

Did you make any changes to your printer?

 

Please provide the operating system you are running on your PC to assist you better.

 

Please try the steps recommended below.

 

Click on Start > type "services.msc" in the search field and press enter.
In the "Services" window, look for the following entry:
Windows Image Acquisition
Double click and set the "Startup type" as "Enabled"

 

Also, download and run print and scan doctor on your PC and check if it helps.

 

Refer this article to know how to use print and scan doctor.
