How can I scan a document via the document feeder to a computer file.

Hello zoomcop, Can you advise the model number of your scanner. Usually, the scanners sold now have a flatbed to lay a document on in order to scan them. Some older scanners used the document feed method to scan them.

 

Your scanner software should have an option to select a location where to save a scanned file.
