Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan

I just setup a new HP PS6520e all-in-one printer/scanner/fax and it is working great for wireless printing.  However, when I scan a document to email (Gmail) all that is received is the email from eprintcenter but no scanned attachment.  The printer appears to be performing the scan and the email itself is being received - just without any attachment.  I have looked and cannot see within Gmail where it is blocking attachments, and I do regularly receive scans to the same account from my work computer.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!  Cindi

I am having the same problem with my yahoo email and my Evernote account as well. As far as I can tell, there are no settings blocking the attachment. The email itself says that the attachment is delivered. It is not in any of the folders, including spam. Help with this is much appreciated. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hi guys,

I understand that scan to email is not working correctly.  Try the step below.

1.  Go to the front panel of your printer.

2.  Turn ePrint off.

3.  Turn ePrint back ON.

4.  Print info page.

5.  Unplug printer and router.

5.  Plug router back up after a 1 or 2 minutes.

6.  Plug printer back up after router is back up.

Try again to scan.

Let me know how it goes.

I carefully followed each step but got the same result, email received but no attachment.

Same here it made no difference.  Email received without the attachment.  It was working 1.5 weeks ago so what did you guys do at HP? You messed something up on us.

looks like people are having the same problem on different printers. I have the same issue on my new HP 5524.

Having same issue with my new Photosmart 6520.

all software installed, connected to internet and router correctly.  Emails scan fine, just with out scanned item itself.

How do we correct ?

Same problem. 6520. I've tried 4-5 different email addresses (registered to different domains - yahoo, gmail, etc) and I receive the emails, but not the attachments.

Please advise.

Same problem here!!  Just bought new 7525.  Worked the first few times.  A week later, 1 out of 7 attempt sent the attachment to my email.  It's scanning and reading it fine because I can send it to USB.

Please, please help

Hey guys,

The Scan-to-Email App system is currently going through updates at this time and service could be affected.

However, there are a few troubleshooting steps I would advise.

  • Hard Reset the printer by unplugging the printer while on, waiting 30 seconds, and plugging the printe back in for power.
  • If you are using the Scan to Email app, then please try uninstalling and re-installing the Scan to Email app.

These steps have worked for some, but if they do not work for you please bare with HP as they complete the update process.
