HP ENVY 5530

Hi

 

I am unable to scan a document to an email using HP ENVY 5530 printer.

 

I get the error 

 

Server connection Error

"There was a problem connecting to the server.  Touch retry to connect again or OK to exit."

 

This seem to be a known issue and solved in the past.  I followed the link below but, i still get the error even after setting the IP address manually and DNS to 8.8.8.8 and alternate to 8.8.4.4 as suggested in the below link.

 

Please help.

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Can you try the following:

Please Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor (PSDR) tool to diagnose and fix your problem

If that doesn't resolve the problem, please Uninstall and Reinstall the FULL feature software following these steps:

1. Uninstall the software in your computer
2. Download and save the FULL feature software (do not install it online)

 

The following resource will help you :

3. Install the FULL feature “Saved” software

Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.

 

We'd suggest that you reconfigure your Scan to email again.

Will the given steps help with the HP Photosmart 6520 e all in one series printer?  I used to be able to but can no longer scan to email and it is very frustrating.

I am not in the least technology gifted so I need explicit, elementary instructions.  Thank you.

Please try out the steps, especially the one on the Scan to Email setup, which shows the steps in a video format.
