Hola HP world.. I have quite a problem that HP technicall support has basically walked away from. I have a remote office in spain that has this "wonderful" HP 6310n all in wonder printer. They are running the spanish version of XP. The printer is networked and installed on 5 computers. I can print to it from all computers, however I can only scan from one. I have done every sort of HP support and the the best they can tell me to do is to run level 1, level 2, level3, and finally level 4 uninstall utility from the driver cd. When I try to acquire an image via the scanner from say word or photoshop its gives me an error acquirring the image. This is XP so i had to download the xp drivers from HP since the cd that came with it was only for VISTA. I have downloaded them multiple times as HP tech support requested and its always the same thing. it doesn't work and they say just running the level 3 uninstall will fix it. And it never does. I have run the scanner diagnostic utility and it fails for Registry Mismatch and HP Digital Imaging Monitor. however the scan folder has a green checkmark that says its present in the scanners and camera's folder. If you click on Registry Mismatch and select fix, a pop up appears saying Launch Binary from path and the path its looking for is C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqtra08.exe. One problem is that this file does not exist anywhere on the computer or the driver cd. As well since this is a spanish version of the os most of the files are in C:\Archivos de programa\HP\ , the same thing happens when i try the fix button on HP Digital Imaging Monitor. I am at a loss of what to do and how to fix it. Can anyone help?
