HP Officejet 4500 G510
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 and don't know what program to download to use the scan function on my HP Officejet 4500 G510.  When I tried installing using the product disk, there is no option to "install"  I am connected via wifi.

You can download and install the software for the printer from the Printer's website support Driver page.

NOTE:  If the computer has been recently migrated to Windows 10 or if you need to re-install the printer software:

 

  1. Create a Restore Point >
  2. Download a fresh copy of the Full Feature software >
  3. Remove any existing printer software from Programs and Features / Apps and Features >
  4. Restart the computer and log in >
  5. Install Full Feature Software (look in your Downloads folder and Double-Click on the file) >
  6. Restart the computer and log in to finish the installation
