PLEASE HELP...I have spent over a week in total hours, once over 18 straight hours, on line and letting HP take control of my computer which is a Dell, and my HP Officejet Pro L7780. All to no success.
For some unknown reason, I cannot get the scanning function to connect to HP Director or Even the Solutions Center everyone keeps talking about. I cannot even find such a link in HP anywhere in my computer. I tried using the CD I had with the computer, no luck, I tried with HP's oveseas staff assistance with no success, uninstalling and reinstalling dowloads till I fell asleep at the computer at 5am one day, from the HP Website, and still no Scanning or Solution Cente. My system is XP, it has all the current updates, etc.....
I brought this for use in school to scan materials to my students, and all I have had is frustration. I am on spring break, and hope someone can help, because HP doesn't seem to be able to help.

I ran a search for that file, and it came up, however when I tried to open it, it showed as an error. I know you will want to know exactly what the error said so here it goes:
