Windows 7 Parsing Error

I'm getting the "Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin\hpqscloc\1033.xml" error message every time I try to start the Solution Center.  I have Windows 7 operating system and noticed the previous answer (and XML updates) didn't seem to apply to Windows 7.

How do I fix the issue in this operating system.

Thanks

Re: Windows 7 Parsing Error

Oops.  I forgot to mention that I'm using an HP3210xi All-in-One printer/scanner.  Everything used to work fine until the program self up-dated.  Then the scanner wouldn't save the files.  (I now know there is a fix for this)

I followed the program suggestion to unload & then reload the program.  Now I get the parsing error whenever trying to open the HP Solution Center.  My program discs were for the older Windows versions so I downloaded a new Windows 7 HP Solution Center program from the HP site.

Re: Windows 7 Parsing Error

I got the same error message about parsing.in (x86) HP Digital Imag/bin hpquloc/1033

It might have been from Deleted 'My Scan's Folder which I think caused the problem.

Permissions changed when I deleted the My Scan folder. I Right clicked on Program Data folder

and found a red X on my name as 'home user'. I clicked on Advanced and Owner tab and

and changed the Owner from System to Administrator (me because it's a one owner/user computer).

The Permissions tab I clicked on EDIT and REMOVED System and made sure my name as user

and Administrato had All RIGHTS.

That worked on my HP All In One 4700 Printer Scanner.

On my computer, The Scans are only saved correctly in My Scans in My Documents.

I hope this helps. It didn't seem to have anything to do with the Firewall.

ps. We just moved and  the printer settings got screwed up when transferring files and folders

from a disc which would  have had different ownership settings.

Good Luck to you. ~
