automatic document feeder does not feed for scanning, faxing or copying

Brand new 4620 seems to do every function fine but the ADF does not work.  It displays that a document is loaded but then it just scans or copies the empty glass.

I am experiencing the same issue. I have tried resetting the tray placement, powering on/off as suggested in troubleshooting. I can only get the device to scan from the glass.
