c309a Fax Confirmation Report

I cannot figure out how to get the confirmation report.  It seems that the "view" and "print" buttons are missing.  The specifications suggest that such a report is possible.  Also, I have been unable to connect to HP via chat.  My browser closes when the control program starts to download.  Very frustrating.

 

Can anyone help me with this?

Press the Setup Button>Print Report>Fax Confirmation Report, and turn it on for whatever option you want.

I cannot seem to find that.  What I seem to have under settings > "fax settings" are two buttons:  one is "fax settings" and the other is "more fax settings".  Neither have the options that you refer (print report>fax confirmation report). 

 

Am I loooking in the wrong place?

Yes, you're looking in the wrong place. Press the Setup button ON the printer.

THANK YOU!!!!!! 

 

I had incorrectly assumed that functionality  between the software and hardware of this printer would be similar or that one could completely control the printer from the software.  I guess I need to read the detailed guide much more thoroughly.

 

BTW, though I have been frustrated in my inability to contact HP via internet and email (I get errors on send), I did speak to a tech support person a few days ago.  When I asked the question, I was informed that the machine would not print this report.  When I started to ask about statment in the documentation, they hung up on me.
