Hi wongp,

You can check out the following site to see what options you have available in Hong Kong. The printer will not have the eFax icon on the front panel as it is not a supported app in Hong Kong. You can check out the Hong Kong shopping.hp.com for printers with fax functionallity.

So are they are plans for HP to offer efax function to anyone in Hong Kong then?  Or will there be a firmware update later to allow for this? Considering the same price level, your competitor printer offerings have physical fax capabilities plus similar function already.

I was very happy on the eprint features, but defintely was a disappointment when coming to the faxing feature not available in Hong Kong so Its hard for me to recommend this product to my friends over the similarly priceds with the same Canon Pixma printers which already has the physical fax function built in.

Hi wongp,

I am not aware if we will be supporting eFax in Hong Kong in the future.

Did you check out the shopping.hp.com site for fax capable printers?

Did you check out the efax link in my last post?

Just found one in the simlar price range on your website called the HP Officejet 6500A Plus, however according to the reviews and functionality on photos its nowhere near that of the PhotoSmart series (let alone your competitors like Epson and Canon Pixma).

In any case, If I wish to return this to the HP online store in HK in exchange for the 6500A plus model what are the steps? (I've tried to call the HP sales hotline and tech support line but nobody is picking up the lines). Do you have a contact which I can inquire about product replacement process?

I've finally managed to get thru the HP support call numbers and they were not helpful at all -- I've explained to them the situation on the fax and I would like to return the product and willing to pay the extra to upgrade to the 8600 Plus model. However they said upgrade its not allowed and I've told them I've only received this product 10 days ago, they've even said I've bought the product too long (10 days is too long?  I've only printed the printer info page and only got confirmation in a weeks time that efax is not supported in HK) and then they rejected me outright on any of my further questions and requests.

I love HP's products, but the aftersales support in Hong Kong is really bad -- and would recommend who's counting on aftersales support to look at other brand of products in Hong Kong

I'm having this same issue. Is there a fix for this?

Hi,

I have a Photosmart 7510. I attempted several times to register for e-fax through the front panel. Each time I got a "Registration unsuccessful" message telling me to check if I was connected to the internet, which I am. All my other apps connect online flawlessly. I do not want to register from a pc with e-fax because they require me to give out credit card information. All I want is to fax a few documents. Please help, thanks!

I have an HP Photosmart 7510.  I have successfully sent and received faxes.  I unplugged it and started the printer back up. I try logging in, and it says my login entered is not valid.

I can login to efax.com with the same number/pin.  This just started today.  Please help.
