Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

I have just got a new computer and my printer is now only scanning my documents as a whole. I want each indiviual sheet i scan to be saved as an individual scan. Hope this makes sense.

Open the Printer Assistant / Solution Center shortcut on Desktop (Printer icon on the Desktop named for your printer)

Open Scan a Document or Photo  (wording varies)

Select Document to File / Save as PDF

Select Scan Size >> example: Letter (equivalent to 8.5 X 11”) or Entire Scan Area

Ensure Resolution is <= (less or equal) 300 DPI 

Check   Show scan preview

 

NEXT:  After other selections are complete on this page, Select Advanced Settings

 

Under Advanced Settings for Document to File >

Select tab File >

CHECK   “Create a separate file for each scanned page
