how do i turn off the sent fax status report after each fax is sent ???

I purchased the officejet 6700.  Whenever I send a fax or receive a fax, the system prints a status report even if there were no errors.  I want to save paper and ink and turn this feature off.  How can I do this ???

Re: how do i turn off the sent fax status report after each fax is sent ???

Sorry that you have a problem with the fax report prints out after every print.

Go to your Reports on your settings.

1. Under reports click on Fax Reports

2. You can change SEND/RECEIVE fax CONFIRMATION to (receive only, send only, or OFF)

You can also go to Fax settings.

1. Go to Fax confirmation

2. Change it to what you prefer.

""Click on the WHITE STAR if you would like to say THANKS""

Hope this helps.

Re: how do i turn off the sent fax status report after each fax is sent ???

I really appreciate your responding to my inquiry

BUT

on my officejet6700, under fax reports, I only get 3 options to choose from

(1) junk fax list (2) caller ID history, and (3) fax loog

Unfortunately, there are NO OTHER fax report options.

Maybe I have a unique officejet 6700

As you stated that you work for HP, I would be courious to know how you

got to the FAX REPORTS  option as that does not come up anywhere on

my printer

I have gone thru each and every menu option for each and every function

on the printer screen -- from A to Z but nowhere is there a FAX REPORTS

option

Any suggestions ?

[ Edited ]

I see that you are having trouble finding the fax reports. There are 2 section you could find it under.

PRESS the right arrow to the SETUP icon.

1. Press the Right arrow until you get to REPORTS

2. Under REPORTS you have the OPTION:

  1. Printer Status Report

2. Print Quality Report

3.  Network Configuration Page

4.  Fax Reports

  • Fax Confirmation
  • On(Fax Send)
  • On(Fax Receive)
  • On(Send and Receive)
  • Off
  • Fax Error Report
  • On(Fax Send)
  • On(Fax Receive)
  • On(Send and Receive)
  • Off
  • Last Transaction
  • Fax Log
  • Speed Dial List
  • Caller ID Report
  • Junk Fax Report
  • T30 Fax Trace Report

At #4 you have Fax REPORTS. Choose that, and go to FAX CONFIRMATION.

Another section is under FAX SETTINGS. You have the following options:

  1. Fax Setup Wizard
  2. Speed Dial Setup

  • Add/Edit Speed Dial
  • Group Speed Dial

  • Delete Speed Dial
  • Print Speed Dial List

  1. Basic Fax Setup
  2. Advance Fax Setup
  3.  Fax Tools
  4.  Fax Reports
    • Fax Confirmation

Let me know if you still can't find this.

I don't understand why that information would be give out, because you should have those options. I have a 6700 in front of me, that's where I got the menu from.

Could you send me your Product #?

Perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
