hp 7520 pdf files

[ Edited ]

I bought a Hp 7520 photo printer to use to scan in documents and save them as searchable pdf files and print good color pictures.   The printer works just great except for the fact that the pdf files and not searchable.  There is no OCR built into the scanner software.   I returned the printer to Office Depot.  The next day there was a update to be installed for the hp 7520 printer, but of course, I no longer had it.  If anyone has the Hp7520 or the Hp 7525 from Sams (same printer) can you scan a document and save it as a searchable pdf file????

Thanks,   Please email me at {Personal Information Removed} if you can.

Re: hp 7520 pdf files

When printing from photo tray the paper kicks back a fraction of an inch during preparation cycle.  The paper does not pick up and sends message to "load paper".  Have to lift the lid and hold the phpto paper with my finger tip or eraser end of a pencil to prevent the "kick back" and picks up and prints photo just fine.

Re: hp 7520 pdf files

Hello JFMR.

I understand when you are trying to print from your photo tray you believe the paper is kicking back. I need to find out what printer model you have. Please click on here so I can find out that information: Model Number.

The crucial step when printing from the photo tray is changing the paper settings from the type of program you are printing from. Please reference this HP document to perform these steps: Customize your printer’s quality and paper settings.

If the step above doesn't fix your issue then I have another step you can perform. Please reference this HP document: Out Of Paper. There are two sections in this document to look at. Please make sure you are looking at the photo tray section.

I hope these steps resolve your issue if you have any more questions, please let me know.
