Hi,

Apologies for jumping in.

To add further, the latest firmware MUST be installed to maintain web services connectivity.

Click the Setup icon and select Tools, then print a Printer Status Report.

Locate the listed firmware, if it is a lower value than ELM1CN1607AR (see bold numebrs) you will must update the firmware.

Unfortunately a Mac OS firmware update utility is not currently available, therefore you will must use a Windows PC to update the printer:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Photosmart-7520-e-All-in-One-Printer-se...

Once getting the latest firmware, try using Web Services again and check for any difference.

Regards,

Shlomi

Hello @Beckyw1, Hope you are well!

Thank you for joining HP support forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.

I understand you are having trouble while accessing the web-services. Let’s try to assign a manual DNS address. This normally helps to fix similar issues.

  • Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
  • Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
  • Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
  • Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
  • Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)

Now try accessing the web services and check.

Hope that helps. Let me know!

Cheers 🙂
