i have my office jet 8600 set up as our network printer but cant get the scan function to work

My Dell Desktop was recently upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and now my Officejet 8600 EPlus won't scan i tried the HP diagnostic/trouble shooting tools and turning off the firewalls but no luck so far.

Hi mrtcampion;

Hope you are doing well,

This is the main support page for your printer GO HERE

Select software and drivers dowloads, check for firmware updates here as well, Select your Operating System;

If that did not work go HERE and dowload and select the HP print and scan doctor.

Hope this helps!

I have done both of those things already, as well as deleteing and reinstalling the software a number of times.

Hi mrtcampion,

You can try using the RemovePreInstalledDrivers.exe found inside the Utils folder in the OJ 8600 driver CD. Run that application prior to reinstalling the drivers and see if that resolves the issue.
