I am seeing the following message when I try to scan a picture using my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium on Windows xp professional on a dell dimension 5150 computer (I know it is old!):
Please help. I have already tried going to start/printers and selecting the printer (which has a check mark also) and cancelling all jobs. I also changed "share printer" to share with nobody (which is the way it used to be until 2 weeks ago when I changed it and never had a problem either way but now i changed it back "just in case" that was the problem); and I still get the same error message as the scan is NOT IN USE BY ANOTHER APP that I can see. Please help?
