HP Scanjet Enterprise 5000 s2
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We have a HP Scanjet Enterprise Flow 5000 s2 that was connected to a Windows 7 OS computer for some time now, and we disconnected to move some things around and tried to reconnect, and we get a USB error that states it has no connection to the computer.  Any ideas?

Hi,

Please disconnect the USB Cable from Printer and computer. Restart PC and Printer.

Connect the USB 1st into the printer and then connect the other end to PC.

If issue still persist reinstall the drivers and should work.

Hi,

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Make sure the printer power cord connects directly to an electrical outlet and not through a surge protector or power strip.

  3. Close all running programs on your computer, then shut down the computer.

  4. Turn on the printer.

  5. Turn on the computer.

  6. Try to scan.

If the issue still occurs, follow this document.
