scanning photograph negatives

I have a photosmart all-in-one B110 series.    Model number:  CN245.   Serial Number: CN15J4JB02

Is it possible to scan my photo negatives with this product.   If so, how do I do it.   I am a complete novice with all this.

Thanking you in advance,

ohdear.

Re: scanning photograph negatives

No, it is not possible to scan negatives with this product.  However, the Scanjet product line does offer scanners that will scan negatives such as the Scanjet G4010 and G4050.

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Re: scanning photograph negatives

Thank you, Plasmon, for your answer - at least I won't spend ages trying to get the Photosmart to do the impossible!

Re: scanning photograph negatives

I have an Officejet 7310 All-in-One and am trying to scan slides and negatives. Will I have the same impossibility with this?
I do have the ScanJet Slide Adapter, but cannot get it to set up correctly for slide scanning. I have an iMac with OSX version 10.6.8.
Thanks...

Re: scanning photograph negatives

Unfortunately the Officejet 7310 does not support scanning slides and negatives.  In order to scan slides and negatives you need a scanner with a transparent materials adapter (TMA).  The Scanjet slide adapters are only designed to work with the scanner that they shipped with.
