My Officejet pro 8500A 910a will not put paper through the feeder (it is clear). Also such a fax is showing up on the screen as 'original loaded'.. I cannot get rid of it. So now it will not let me fax or scan from the scanner glass. Does anyone know how to go back to faxing and scanning from the scanner glass please?

It sounds like the sensor on your document feeder may have gone out or be glitched. Try following this document. I know it says it is for an "Original Jam," but it should work to resolve this problem too. If you are still in warranty, I would recommend that you give tech support a call at 1-800-474-6836, for international users click here, and have them do a semi-full reset if the steps in the document do not fix it. If you are out of warranty, they will have to charge you to help you, but it should fix it. The only alternative would be to get a different printer.
