Hi, Mike

I am sending you the steps to change the resolution of the Scan document or pictures.

Please open Hp solution center homepage click on

Click on Scan Document or Picture >> on the next window click on Advanced document settings >> than on the next window you will find first option which says Output resolution (ppi) for document as Image/Document >> from the drop down list you can change the resolution >> click OK >> Than Scan.
