tell me what MAC OS X version you have...
10.6.8? 10.7? etc...

You need to download these from apple:
1. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo :
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399
2. Download and install HP Printer Drivers for Mac OS X v10.6 from Apple
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
1. Download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo :
