I received my Touchsmart tm2-2190sa yesterday. I wanted to change the language on Windows 7 Home Premium and saw that it cannot be done. So I did a format (just the C: partition) and installed a Windows 7 Ultimate edition that I used to have in my old system. That's the beginning of the end... first of all I can't seem to find any drivers on the HP site for the wireless network card. The Recovery manager doesn't work (pressing f11 on booting just starts windows again, and again...). I made the d: drive active in case the system boots from it but no luck. HP software doesn't install (I downloaded the recovery manager and I can't install it - no error messages no nothing. It just pops the setup icon on the bar, and no setup window. After a while it closes and a message popups, asking whether I want to reinstall using default options, or the program installed correctly.
I reformatted, deleting both the system partition and C: partition and creating new ones from the scratch. Nothing...
Using BCDedit I saw that the Windows location is set to E (The partition named HP Tools)...
How can I recover my system to the original factory settings?

Hi,
Did you make an HP Recovery disc set before you started formatting this and that?
If you did...the original drivers are on disc #2.
Best regards,
erico

No I didn't make any recovery disks. I have contacted however the HP and the problem is that the recovery manager was on C:. So I will have to buy the recovery cds.

Hey...I have exactly the same problem.
The unit arrived brand new from HP with no driver disks, no disks of any kind. Our corporate policy is to wipe and reload machines before issuing them to users.
Unit loaded with Win 7 32-bit, no problems with all devices except wireless.
Can not find Windows 7 32-bit wireless drivers. Have tried all 6 (Atheros, Intel, RALink) for 64-bit version...no good. HP driver support ONLY lists windows 7 64-bit, kinda useless.
Support contacted, they asked me to remove and re-install the wireless card!? Yeah right... Now they want screen shots of the device that won't install!! WTF! Well if I can't install it, how am I gonna get a picture of it!
Have you found anything that will get the wireless card working?

Just received this link from another forum.
Drive for the tm2-2190 can be downloaded here...
Click the Broadcom BCM4313 Wireless LAN Driver 5.60.48.35 for Windows 7 32bit/64bit link
Worked great for me!
