Fan/CPU issue: tm2-1000

While a lot of people have had a problem with the fan always running, mine is the exact opposite. The fan won't seem to turn on, the computer overheats, and the CPU keeps hitting 100 without anything major running. I've tried restarts, gone through all the updates, and have no idea why this just started happening after only one week of use.
Here's the system info:
Comp: tm2-1000
Bios vers. F.07
Intel CPU U7300, 6gb ram, ati mobility radeon hd 4550
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try to use the drivers in the vista partition in the recovery part of the hard disk. I solved my problems in W7 that way
