Fingerprint Reader for HP Touchsmart TX2

im having problems with my fingerprint scanner being detected after i did a full upgrade to windows 7 professional. i have tried all the drivers offered on the hp website, i also tried rolling back to previous version, but it still is not working. it was working fine with vista, and also when i got the windows 7 upgrade from hp. my ntrig digitizer is also acting up. i have windows 7 pro 64bit version. i really need help. if you can help with any other suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated

I've tried Digital Persona 4.01. 3749 REV: A and 4.11 on a system with a finger print reader and the 4.01 version seems more stable, though has fewer integrations.  With the 4.11 version, I get frequent "no reader detected" messages when I first boot or resume.  Didn't have that problem with the older version, but haven't gotten around to rolling back seeing I don't use it that much.   I found both of these version by searching HP's site fr "digital persona" using Google.  Not sure if they were specific to the TX2, but should work just the same.

Post your part number (p/n) . You'll find it at the bottom of the laptop on a sticker, which looks like this.

Hi,

Uninstall your current authentec sensor driver and DigitalPersona. Install sensor driver posted by ZacHank in this topic and then DigitalPersona. This should solve your problem.

Hi,

1. You've got tx2-1274nr model so please use the same solution as labens to solve problem with fingerprint.

2. Have you tested both drivers for ntrig which are posted on support page for your laptop?

Note:

Uninstall old driver before you will try to install other.

i tried all the steps above and still no resolution. reader is still not being detected. would it be repaired if i tried reloading the recovery disks for windows vista, and then trying to install windows 7 again. im also having problems with my ntrig digitizer install. i get a fatal error during installation message. it also says the operating system is not adequate for running. this is very frustrating

Could you paste screenshot with this error here?

Is this problem showing up when you are trying to install both version of ntrig driver?

So you installed a second file without any problem and it's working correct now?
