Unfortunately my TX2000 has developed the "Blank Screen" issue. This is very frustrating, as I like many others here paid significant money for this Tablet, only to have it break down, much sooner than any other computer I have owned. I am waiting for the TX2000 Class Action lawsuit and have already signed one of the petitions to HP with 4876 names on it. That is a lot of defective computers.

Clearly this is not a fluke as many purchasers of this HP tablet are having the same issues. I have purchased 6 HP computers myself and recommended over 140 in my consulting work so far, if HP does not issue a recall or any form of customer satisfaction to remedy this problem it will not only be my last HP product, but the last to any of the companies that I consult to.

That includes the many HP printers also.

Owning same HP Pavilion TX2000 note book with blank screen issues..but my lap is out of warranty..

even i had the same problem with my notebook too

but i did not know that it was recalled before i don't no how to proceed

as all of u i also spent lot of money for this notebook i am really feeling bad about it.

Hi, this is a free fix that worked for me. With the computer switched off, press firmly, very very firmly, with your fist or palm on to the J, K, L, keys. The switch the computer on and keep pressing down hard. I had to try 3 times but it all came back to life. I think you just need to press that general area very hard to move something inside the computer. If it works please share this info with all the others. Good luck.

Its a good laptop overall but no WIRELESS!!! makes me laugh, anyways the screen will take some time off your life too, and so would your sound. but to be honest its working for me like a desktop it been tallest 5years now, im happy. Its been 4years now so its been verry good the old cow! all i have to do now is get a wireless dongle.

I've had the same problem with my TX2635, tried contacting HP even wrote to the MD of HPUK and I didn't even get a reply, sent a stamped address envelope to him the second time, guess what didn't even get a reply.
I guess we know the sort of company we're dealing with.
Anyhow I've already started an action against HP in the small claims court and I'm making a claim under the EU Directive 1999/44/EC-V-Sale of Goods Act.

You'll probably need an independent inspection to prove the fault and there are numerous companies on the web who have carried out repairs to HP computers with the same fault and they are fully aware of these problems.

Just got off phone with hp. My tx 2000 suffers same thing every year. Extended warranty ended one month ago. How many times can I justify repaying for this laptop? I'm buying an Apple. Babye hp.
