HP Pavilion tx2500
Windows Vista (I want to say 64 bit)
My stylus that originally came with this computer had broken, so I went on HP and purchased another one. It's compatible with all TX models, and I've eagerly awaited its arrival.
However, upon receiving it, I went to go try it out and it didn't function.
My computer did not recognize the device whatsoever, and when it made contact with the screen, the computer responded as if I was using my fingers. The stylus is totally ineffective because of this. Obviously, these don't come cheap, and I'd really appreciate some help with getting my computer to recognize it as a stylus.
Thanks so much,
Sarah

I have a touchsmart tx2 and sometimes I get stylus problems. It's not quite the same as yours. Sometimes it won't recognize when I touch with my finger or the stylus. I talked to tech support and they just told me to do a manual reset whenever this happens. That's just when you shut off your computer, unplug the charger, take out the battery, then hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't work for me the first time, but it always seems to fix the problem. I don't know if this will help you since its not the same problem, but you might as well try it and see if that helps.
