My questions is very straightforward. I want to know if its worthwhile waiting a few moths until August(when classes start) to see of we can have this awesome Tablet pc with a more powerful processor than the 1.6GHz currently available. PLease if anyone knows whether HP will update the processors in this HP Tm2t, let me know, i wouldnt want to be waiting in vain for something that may be impossible. I dont knnow if the faster intel processors are too big to be packed into the Tm2t.

A core i3 or i5 tm/tx series would be awesome, just hope they don't get rid of the wacom digitizer again.
I was really surprised when they started putting intel chips in them, pretty awesome, but they just came out with them, I would be really surprised if they went to core i5's.
I wonder what the benchmarks are for the su's vrs the amd's in the tx2500's...hmm

Thats right, I heard so many good things about ther wacom. I sued to have the TX1000, tx2200 and the touchsmart tx2z.. and the touch feature was simply anoying. One day you could be working marvelously with your pen, the next it wou;dnt even respond.
I had a bad experience with the first two laptops of that generation. My motherboerd got litterally fried after a year. And HP didnt do anything to fix that at that moment. Those AMD proceesors would heat the mother board to almoss 100 degrees! o even more. Thats why I am a little hesitant about this new version. My touchsmartTX2z was awesome. I never had a major problem even it had AMD processor and n-trig instead of wacom. However, it heated so much to the point that you counld not put in your lap. Well, that was the only computer I was happywith, unfortunally it got stolen.

Hi,
According to NewGadgets.de (link here) tm2 with Intel Core i3 and Intel Core i5 will show up in the end of June.
Remember then this news may be for now treated only as a rumore, because it's not confirmed by HP.

Amazon already has a pre-order up for the quick-ship model:
HP really needs to make some sort of official statement about this.

apparently it will comes first with Intel Core i3-330UM Processor but without additionnal ATI or NVIDIA graphic card, which mean Max TDP = 18 W for CPU and GPU , so its autonomy won't be necessary shorter than the actual model

In general, yes if you don't need it right now I would advise waiting a couple of months!
They come out with minor changes all the time to chips and batteries and new tablets are appearing on the market constantly, meaning we should see some serious drops in the price of touchscreens as the market becomes flooded with competing tablets and convertibles.
I waited ages for Windows 7 before finally buying my TX2. At the time there was no talk of a new model coming out soon and the dealer certainly hadn't heard anything. It was only a month later that the TM2 came out, which is lighter and has a longer battery life. (But no DVD, that admittedly would suck).

Hello,
I just bought my second HP Touchsmart TM2T tablet laptop, and I got it with the brand new Core I5 processor with the ATI Switchable graphics. I was going to buy it earlier with the U9600 Core 2 Duo processor, but when I heard that HP was releasing their second edition TM2T with Core I3 and I5, I decided to wait! I tell you, I'm sure glad that I waited. The TM2T with. the Core I5 processor and switchable graphics is totally awesome!! I totally recommend it!
