If your tx2 fingerprint scanner on your windows 7 machine stopped working for no reason, your drivers may have been updated by either windows update or HP update. No worries an easy fix to this is to go to your HP driver page and download the old VISTA drivers for your machines respective OS system (32bit or 62bit) the vision of the drivers should be (version 7.10.1.2). 

make sure you properly uninstall the current drivers and don't  let windows update them again.
