I own a dv2000 purchased at the time in question! I purchased a extended warranty and had to send it twice to have the motherboards replaced because of extreme over heating! After the second board was replaced it lasted about 6 more months before i had the exact same problem!
I called H over and over again only to get a run around....Actually to the point that the person at H was flat out rude!!!! I got a run around and i was basically told to bad for my stupidity of buying a H product! Funny is that i always choose H over all others for my business needs....Now I would never!
I took a computer in for upgrades to a local computer tech about a month ago, at that time i we got to discuss the whole issue of my bad experience with H. He informed me that there was a lay suite and H was replacing their faulty products! I proceeded to call H and spoke with someone from your support! He at that time informed me that the only problem that H was resolving was with a battery issue????.....A total LIE!!!!! Today I come to discover about your suite regarding your inferior product....That H replace all of them.....My question is....All the phone calls....Never once a a solution!!!!! I plan on continuing this campaign until i get a result or I will certainly do my best....Being in the business world, to make sure every client...Vendor...Associates....Anyone...Ill know what a poorly run company H really is....They simply do not stand by their workmanship or the product they put on the shelves!!!!!!.This will be my life's mission!!!!!!!!

Good for you. I am having similar problems with my hp mini laptop. It is always a hardware issue with HP products and HP won't take responsibility for their lack of hardware quality control and intergration in their pc products. You are better spending your time campaigning against HP products than wasting it on arguing with HP Case Managers for a refund. They don't care about customer service and providing products that live up to their advertised features (false advertising). If I were you, just join a class action lawsuit against HP.
