Multi touch drivers!?

I have a HP TX2520ea and i am wanting to upgrade my OS to windows 7 but before this, is it possible to enable multi touch capabilities on a basic touch laptop such as this one through drivers? If so, where can i get them from?

For my notebook I used drivers for Vista. And run it in Vista SP2 compability mode.

Ok how do you do that? Do you have a tx2520ea though? WITH multi touch?

I have TouchSmart tx2 with multi touch, Win 7 Ultimate x64.

1. Downloaded drivers for Vista x64 ("N-Trig Dou Sence" in my case)

2. Right click on downloaded file - properties - "compability" tab - run this programm in compability mode for: Vista SP2

3. Run this file

Ok but does the tx2520ea support multi touch though? If so, could you send me the link to download the N-Trig Dou Sence?

Only the Tx2 series officially support the multi-touch capability of Windows 7. And other thing, the vista drivers will not enable the multitouch.

N-trig can support tx 2032au ? Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.

tx2-xxxx and tx2xxx models are not the same product.

tx2-xxxx (will show TouchSmart tx2 on the display bezel) use N-Trig HW (which supports multi-touch)

tx2xxx (will show tx2000 on the display bezel) use Wacom HW (which does not support multi-touch)

If you have a tx2-xxxx model and upgrade to Win7 then you need to load the Win7 N-Trig driver/FW update (packages listed below include both) to keep multi-touch functionality

Win7 64-bit N-Trig driver: SP45835

Win7 32-bit N-Trig driver: SP46082 (Note that at this point the driver has not yet released. Should release shortly)

If you have a tx2xxx model there is no updated Win7 driver available from HP. Recommendation is to use the Win7 built-in touch support (there is a couple updates for it on Windows Update). Existing Wacom driver (in case of upgrade scenario) should be uninstalled.
