No audio from the built in speakers, just the headphones...

Product: WU662AV

OS: Windows 7 64bit

 

I have no audio comming from my built in speakers.  I have tried everything I could possibly think of and can not get my audio to work correctly!  In the last few months (since 3 days after my warranty went out) my audio from time to time would just go out.  No static/bleeps/white noise or in-and-out type thing...  I would boot it up and it would work great...  then next time I would boot it up and nothing...  nothing at all from the speakers.  If I plug in headphones or use my bluetooth headphones it works fine, but NOTHING from my built in speakers...

 

The funny thing is sometimes I can mess around with the headphone volume (no headphones attached at the time) and then the audio would come back for about 2 seconds then go out again.  To listen to a constant stream I would have to move the headphone volume up and down constantly...  it is very strange.

 

Anyone know how I might go about getting my audio back?  I love my laptop but this is killing me!

Hi,

 

Have you tried ti turn it ON yet ?

 

Right click the speaker icon

Select Playback devices

Update or reinstall driver may also help, here is the link

Just try to uninstall the device via device manager. I encounter also this problem just few days ago after i got my bios updates:

I have disable devices shown too...

 

So I don't think thats it.  I uninstalled the current IDT audio drivers and ticked the "delete the driver software" checkbox too...

After that I installed the orginal "sp48665.exe" audio driver for this laptop but still had no luck.  Anything else I can try?
