Supported Wireless Cards for Touch Smart TM2T

I have  a HP Touchsmart TM2T-2100 CTO laptop decked out with 8 gigs of ram, Intel Wifi-link 1000, 500 gig hard drive, ati switchable graphics, bluetooth etc.... When I purchased the laptop I thought the wireless was  ABGN wireless adaptor I was wrong. I would like to know what wireless adaptors are compatible with the TM2T-2100 CTO laptop that supports ABGN (2.4ghz and 5.0ghz frequencies) without any modifications.

Hi,

There are two important rules. You need to use wireless card which is supported by your notebook Bios and it must be product with correct HP part number (p/n). Unfortunately there isn't even one integrated wireless card with dual band for your model. The only solution is to use exteranl wireless card.

The below list will give you all informations about cards which are supported:

Re: Supported Wireless Cards for Touch Smart TM2T

A BIOS mod made by Camiloml reportedly is able to bypass the Wi-Fi card whitelist:

BIOS-Mods Forum: HP Touchsmart Tm2t-2200 (Post #10)

Should be suitable for any member of the 2nd generation Touchsmart TM2 series utilizing the sp52359 ver. F.25 BIOS (TM2-2100, TM2-2150, etc).  As always, perform mods at your own risk.  If you find Camiloml's work helpful, please consider supporting him by making a donation (link in his post).
