This just happened to my TX2000 too. I did a windows update which included a Cypress USB update and after the restart I no longer had a working touch screen nor a working webcam. Not sure if the windows update is the cause of the problem.
I've tried reinstalling the drivers for the touchscreen with no success. I installed the latest version of Youcam software but it says no webcam is detected.

I just had the same issue but now it's fixed, I did a system restore, before the Cypress update I believe. Vista always tells me that the restore didn't work, but this time it fixed my tablet so give it a try and just reinstall any software that might get buggy... Also, does someone here know what the cypress update actually does, apart from cutting off webcams and touchscreens?
PS I hate these forum forms, of all the flash elements and videos and add-ons and high processing requirement thingymajigs on the internet, why is it the bog standard forum posting forms which cause IE8 to freeze, this site and gamespot seem to be using them and I have no idea why they mess up my browser.

Great solution to a tough problem - it worked like a charm - thanks...

I actually had to roll back the driver twice; Cypress and Sonics. You will have to roll back all the way back to the Microsoft driver 2006. After doing this my webcam works fine.
My touch screen still does not work. Any solutions for that?

This also affects the tx2000. My fingerprint reader, webcam and touchscreen all stopped working. Rolling back the HX2LP driver (under USB Controllers in Device Manager) from the Cypress Driver (dated 2/25/09) back to the Microsoft Driver fixed everything.
Thanks so much for your helpful post! I had run all the updates from Microsoft and HP, I had searched the HP support pages and found nothing until I found this post. Again thanks.
