TX1000 Touchscreen & Webcam not working.

I have a similar problem with a tx 1000. I restored the os from the factory recovery disk and the touch screen an fingerprint device do not work. How do I find that specific driver in the USB section of my device manager? I looked at each entry and saw no driver with that name? What should I look for specifically and how do I roll it back?

 I just updated to the new windows live and now my web cam wont work on vid.calls but will with cyborlink youcam what the heck is this

My HP TX1210us laptop's graphic card died yesterday and now it's a completely useless $1300 piece of cr*p. It seems that Nvidia designed this faulty chipset and HP has been using it for a while. The ironic part is that it dies shortly after the warranty expires.

Ambro, thank you. It works for me too.

And it's true that not only touch sreen and webcam were died, but also fingerprint. Unfortunatelly, I have not used the fingerprint feature so far, and now I even don't know how to activate it. I try to swip my finger but it says: "Initialization of the key negotiation process failed withthe following error: Key not valid for use in specified state." When VeriSoft Logon Wizard dialog pops up to ask me introducing myself, it requires password that I never recorded before. It's confusing me now.

Any suggestion for this amateur guy?

after about 7 months of looking online and downloading this or that driver. i went to the device manager.  wend down to the usb devices. deleted the device and the drivers. then searched for new devices and now my camera is back. my touch screen works and all is good! thanks so much ambro. id buy u a beer if i could this is worth my laptops weight in gold!!!

To all those who have suffered because of unwanted problems with HP TX1000 and similar laptops, please go to the following Petition and sign it. HP has not recalled a product that is know to have so many issues. Their reps say that not enough customers have complained about it.
