TX2000 Pen input upside down

I've got a tx2635us convertable tablet.  When I flip it to tablet mode, and hold it in my right hand (i'm a lefty), then change the screen to the proper orientation, everything works ok UNTIL i start an art program (either the corel paint software it shipped with, or the photoshop cs3 i loaded) all the input is upside down; for instance if i tap the start button(lower left), the actual input received is in the upper right(usualy closing the window)

This happens also if i have it in tablet mode and rotate the video so the bottom of the screen is twards the battery.

It seems like maybe the built-in wacom is doing 1:1 pixel maping, but not realizing i've rotated the screen 180 degrees from where the driver thinks it is.

Is there a way to correct this?

Re: TX2000 Pen input upside down

nada.  I contacted hp support and they sent me a new tablet driver, which did nothing, and they didn't seem like they'd heard this complaint before.

Must be a very small percentage of lefties who buy this laptop AND want to use drawing software.

Re: TX2000 Pen input upside down

Okay you sinister guys :smileytongue: be patient with me as I am a "righty" although in my defense I was born a lefty but they made me a righty in school, yes they did things like that back when I was in school.

So walk me through it step by step, like which hand I hold which thing in at which point.

I have Corel Painter 4 here that I can try to replicate the issue on and then if I can do that I can look to see if I can find a solution.

Re: TX2000 Pen input upside down

I have tried it holding the Tablet in my right hand, pen in my left hand and with the screen orientation in the portrait mode.

The Vista start icon is in the bottom left of the screen and when I click on it with the pen it opens normally on my TX2500.

I might need your product numbers from the bottom of your notebooks and what BIOS version you have.

Re: TX2000 Pen input upside down

Ok, so I managed to fix my pen issue by re-installing my original drivers (I downloaded the ones from HP and Wacom, but they only caused separate problems).  In the end I went into 'recovery manager' clicked 'advanced options', selected 'hardware driver re-installation' and then got it to reinstall the 'wacom digitizer driver'.  After a reboot everything was back to normal.

I think the problem started after installing some programs that caused issues with the drivers, but the re-install seems to work without uninstalling anything.

Re: TX2000 Pen input upside down

Hello.

I have a simular problem, but not excact.

When I use my pen on Desktop or any other "standart"  MS Windows programs like Notepad, either Word the cursor on screen is POINT(with little crosses).

Point is always on menus.

But in graphics programs like PhotoShop, CorelDraw there are:

1. screen pointer on working document area is depends on current instrument (It is GOOD).

2. screen pointer under menu and insrtument selection is ARROW (It is BAD) and it is with bad calibration.

I try it on Windows Vista and Windows Seven with Wacom driver from HP site (version 5.05-A) and Wacom drivers from Wacom site TablePC( 5.05-7). The difference of this drivers is in additional popup menu.

If I delete Wacom drivers  in Windows 7 it installs standart Wacom driver. This driver has screen pointer as POINT everywhere, even in PhotoShop menu. But this driver didnt recognise pressure.

How to get Photoshop menu with POINT screen pointer and pressure recognise?

Are there any ideas?
