Touch Screen Problem

So i've been having this problem lately. What happens is my cursor moves all by itself to the middle of the screen and sometimes it does it so frequently it won't let me move. Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Hi, 

These 'ghost fingers' happens always on many of the actual resistive (or even capacitive) touchscreens. They are a false recognition of a pressure or electrostatic interference.

First of all, install the last driver of your touchscreen. They are avaiable at HP download center and depend on your note's model.

Then go to Start > Control Panel > N-Trig Pen and Touch Settings (or your model's touchscreen seller icon) and press the Touch Tunning / Touchscreen RESET / CALIBRATE button. 

It must correct your problems for a while... But soon they will stress you. The reseting works fine for a while than only a new driver or a new touchscreen will make you like your device again. The technology of touchscreen will be soon much better than these firts 'trials'...

How do I find the last driver of my touch screen? Oh and also, are you saying after I reinstall the drivers there will be no problems for a while but then it returns again?

well, if your note is TX2, here is new diver for Windows 7  x64. If don't let me know wich is your model.

These problems may occur and may be frequent. But don't borry about it... use your note!

It's very important to update the drivers on your computer. Access the link of HP below and select your operating system:

And update all the drivers delivered after you bought your computer. 

Then Reset your touchscreen driver as stated on previous message.

I used to have this problem (maybe I still do occasionally), and I had it regardless of what operating system (Windows Vista, Linux) I was using, and it ONLY happened when I visited web pages which used Flash. Some pages would very dependably trigger it.

I have been having the same problem pretty much since I bought it, a YEAR ago, n I've contacted HP about it quite a few times, and they fixed it (for the time i was on the phone with them), n then it didnt do it anymore for a few more minutes, but I've noticed that its mostly on flashier websites or when i have 5 or 6 programs running.  I know I shouldnt do that but sometimes i just have to.  I havent tried the n-trig.  i will look into it.

I've been having a different problem with my touch screen. Mine is a tx2z 1300 model, and the problem isn't "ghost fingers" but rather that the screen doesn't detect contact between the pen and the screen. I can't click or write with the pen anymore, but the screen still detects the position of the pen relative to the screen (the cursor still moves when I move the pen). Any solutions for this?
