TouchSmart tm2 1000 dead spot in the touch screen

I have the upper left corner, inconveniently right over the back arrow on a web browser, that my pen will not move the cursor within. The mouse pad is able to move the cursor into the area and I have tried different pens, including other company's pens. I have attempted to calibrate the pen several times, but there is never a test point in that corner. All other corners of the screen work fine and my finger works fine in that corner. What can I do?
