UPDATE -
http://centerforclassactionfairness.blogspot.com/2
I FILLED ALREADY A CLAIM, AND WAS TOLD TO WAIT UNTIL JULY 2011.
There is a replacement option, in my case I was told that chips is faulty for $ 150, so I'll take replacement.
If you had it fixed , you better find all bills, including a original purchase. As you can claim reimbursement.
All info are here ![]()

Good luck to you all.

I have a tx1308nr that will not boot up. When I first got it, it worked find for about two days. Then I turn it on the third day and all I got was lights and sound of a computer that was working and then the hard drive light went out and the screen went black and that's the way it's been every since. I know it gets hot as heck and can give you a serious burn. Since the hard drive light was the one going out, that's what I thought it was so I replaced it but nothing changed. Can anyone help me diagnose this problem. I tried calling the help people but I didn't realized i was calling another country and we could not understand each other. Can anyone help me diagnose this problem? Thanks for all your help.

I just found this forum and I went to the nvidiasettlement site and they are not accepting any more new claims as of 03/14/2011. When I called HP Support in November 2010 because of this problem of the black screen and cap\num locks blinking, they did not mention this class action for replacing my laptop!!!! If this was a known issue with these laptops I feel that they should have referred me to the ongoing class action with these laptops instead of asking me to send my laptop in for repairs or buying a new one. As a result of this misinformation, I missed the deadline to file a claim!!!!! How can a file a claim to have this defective laptop replaced???? I have the TX1025-DX. Thanks for any help.

I missed the claim period as well, although being in Canada I was told to wait.. I have a tx1120us that worked just a week after the warranty ran out, was fixed and then fried 2 weeks after that
