I dropped my tx1320us face down in the tablet orientation and cracked the glass screen. It actually still worked but there were so many cracks it wasn't really practical to to use it that way as a tablet.
I ordered and installed a new LCD screen and everything works fine EXCEPT the machine doesn't respond to attempts to write using touch screen. It doesn't even respond when I try to calibrate it.
I have confirmed that the screen itself indeed is manufactured for touch screen functionality. You can tell by touching the screen with the stylus.
HP no longer sells the screen from their parts department. They referred me to Impact Computers. The person I spoke to there seemed knowledgeable of this type screen and assured me it would work. The OEM screen was manufactured by Toshiba. The replacement is from AU Optronics (PN: B121EW02-V.0-RB).
My drivers (MS Vista) are all up to date.
Any suggestions?
