Been a long time since I bumped this to the top.
Had time to do a little playing with it a few months ago and then got mad and dropped the effort.
My next plan is to load SIW (http://www.gtopala.com/) and see if anything magic pops up.
My only hope is that someone new to this forum looks at this with a fresh view.
BTW, I had to get a new laptop this past month and I REFUSED to even look at HP computers!!!!

Update here when you do this.
I also replaced my tx2000 (with a Lenovo) and will be selling it as soon as I get a replacement motherboard from a seller (overheating gpu).

I have tried various ways to diagnose the problem with no results.
I have about given up on any hope of anyone trying to help those of us the have the same problem.
While I can futz around and kind of make the computer work the lack of a USB really causes a problem.
Thought I would bump this up to the top again. May try to post the same thread on the new board.
