The HP online help person told me what to do with the registry to set the Windows Media Center back to its original defaults, which I did. it indicates that there is no space left.

I had this same problem back in early June. All of a sudden after burning hundreds of DVDs I started getting errors.
I did a lot of research and it appears it has something to do with some Microsoft updates. One in particular may be the culprit...the "Cumulative Update for Media Center for Windows Vista x64-based Systems (KB967632)". I believe that the Vista SP2 can be an issue.
Check your "Programs and Features" under the Control Panel and "View Installed Updates". If KB967632 is installed, try removing it.
Good luck.
