Can I upgrade the cpu on my computer? [ Edited ]

I have a HP 310-1020 Touchsmart.

I Want to put a tripple core or a quad core(Quad CorePreffered). something around 3.0GHz Minimum.

I just bought 8GB of RAM and I want a better CPU for better overall performance when im editing videos or using photoshop.

If you look in the link that you provided in the section titled "Processor upgrade information" it lists the processors that HP supports in the computer.  There are X3 and X4 models listed.  The main thing is to assure that the wattage matches: TDP 45W.
