I have a Touchsmart Desktop computer, but I cannot view videos although I have downloaded the Adobe Flash Player. What should I do?

Hi,
If this problem is with online video such as Youtube, try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next, download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if the videos play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.
Regards,
DP-K

Hi David:
Can you just tell them that all they need to is just click on tools icon in any web browser and select manage add ons select toolbars and extensions and enable all adobe software listed. For instants flash player is listed Adode shock wave flash object. No need to dowload other Internet Explorers. Real Player and Adobe flash player dissable them selves when updated. This was already answered in forum several months ago. Thank you for your support as well.

Hi,
I followed both of the recommended procedures. I can now view videos in IE, but not Firefox, my preferred browser. I get a message that says "An error occurred: Please try again later." Is there something else that I can try?

Hello PegNOGal:
For Fire Fox download Real Player. http://www.real.com/realplayer/search This one is free and you can download and save videos as well. Now to check and see it is enabled in Fire Fox Browser is click on the triangle next to Fire Fox top left side. We will also check for these as well. Select Plugins:
Adobe Acrobat , HP Active check plugin, Hp Product Detection plugin .... , Hulu Desktop 0.9.14.1, Java (TM)... , Java Deployent tool kit...., RealJukebox NS Plugin ...., RealNetwork (TM) Chrome ...., Real Player download...., RealPlayer(TM) G2 Live Concert ....., RealPlayer(TM) HTML5Video, Shockwave for Director ..., SilverLight...., Windows Activation ..., Windows Live Photo Gallery. When You log on to www.Hulu.com with Firefox, It will ask you to download Flash Player witch is Adobe Flash Player 11. After installing player on the left side under search bar Firefox will display install flash player plugin. Click it yes. Now lets bring Hulu to you also. The Hulu Desktop and watch free movies just like you do on TV.http://www.hulu.com/labs/hulu-desktop If is not already installed on your computer. There now you can use Firefox again. Please click on Kudos if issue is resolved if need futher assisants let me know frrw.
