can anybody point me to the right filename and site URL for the "HP UEFI BIOS Update SoftPAQ" for the HP TouchSmart tx2-1015ea tablet?

The latest BIOS available is F.21.  You can download it here.

sorry Kalt, I don't seem to have made myself clear I actually need to create a "USB Key to recover the bios using an external drive" as per this HP troubleshooting guide.

I cant use the Flash method as I'm currently locked out of the bios and Windows and the only way to recover the bios is using an external drive which the "HP UEFI BIOS Update SoftPAQ" allows you to create from the "HP_TOOLS" software which I cannot find the URL for the filename version I need to download, can you help me?

@ Kalt... It looks like "F.25" is the most current BIOS update for the HP tx2-1000 series per WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS for tx2-1000 series and WinFlash for HP Notebook System BIOS for tx2-1015ea.

Hej !

I have a probook 6450b that does not start.

Problems at first was that the display turned of, just went black, this happend with less minutes in betwen for each time.

Then suddenly there was no picture at all just a war of the ants, nothing visible.

I tried to update BIOS by pressing windows b and start button for thre seconds but this seams to have failed.

the computer has been ongoing for more then an hour without anything showing on the display and

nothing happens if Im holding down the start/stop button for five seconds or more.

What does that indicate ?

Now im trying to uppdate the Bios version F.00 with a USB( that is the version in the computer)

I have downloaded the new files to a USB
But on the "HP Support document" i can read that i have to create a "key" at first:

"The key can be created manually or by using the HP UEFI BIOS Update SoftPAQ or the new HP UEFI Support Environment SoftPAQ and selecting the Create a USB key option."

The only program i found was HP SoftPaq Download Manager

I tried to install this program on another computer but it seams to old and in need of microsoft NET. Framework 3,5 SP1 or greater is needed to continue

Can you please help me further, i dont really understand the meaning of a "key"...

By the way....now I cant turn the pc of , shall i just remove the netcable and remove the battery ?
