I forgot password to my presario c700 and so did my spouse is there a way to get in and change password when you have forgotten yours

You could use a password reset utility such as the free application on the link below.

Hi

As i see you have few options to resolve your issue.

1) If you have created a password reset disc then you could reset the password.

2) You could use a Passowrd Bypass software to recovery your password.

3) If you dont have any important data on the unit you can reinstall the Operating system back on the unit click on the web link given below has the steps given. Please note doing this will erase all the data on the unit.

Restore the PC to its original condition using the f11 key

If i use restore will it wipe away my operating system? Would password bypass software be a safer way to go

This a clean install this will take you back to the setting like once you purchased the Notebook how it was to the same setting. Password Bypass software you need to purchase it.
