HP Media TouchSmart Webcam ... will not open ....

Touchsmart 300 ..worked in the past,now when i double-click icon,the circle spins and nothing happens...went to device manager and webcam is recognized,driver installed,but indicates "usb video device"

Hello Dunguz:
Corrupted file. Open up your recovery manger and reinstall it. First lets us try reinstalling HP Touchsmart Web-cam software So Select Software and Program Reinstallation click next Select go down list and select HP Tousmart Web-cam click next follow all wizards commands. Now that you reinstalled webcam software try opening it again. If still not opening right. Then you know the webcam is broken internally and needs replacing. You will need to contact HP Dirrect Support to get it fixed. Let them know that used recovery manger so thay do not have you repeat these same steps all over again .
