HP PC touchsmart Screen

My HP Touchsmart Screen is functional, but the screen only gives a  gray glow with no icons, however when you touch the screen in the icon area, you can hear the icon being activated. TouchSmart PC, Model IQ770, Serial # {Removed for privacy}, Windows 7.
